About the IDIS Gold Standard

The IDIS Gold Standard represents the optimum level of delivery service available to the online shopper consistent with the products sold by an e-retailer and the individual and specific needs of the shopper for each and every delivery. The IDIS Gold Standard provides significant benefits to all key stakeholder groups.

The IDIS Gold Standard was born out of the realisation that successful first-time delivery can present problems for up to one in five home shopping customers, and that even retailers who respect the existing IDIS Charter may not always be able to satisfy the needs of such people.

The Gold Standard raises the bar, giving e-retailers who have tackled the delivery problem head-on the chance to convey to customers that they offer a delivery capability above and beyond the norm, in line best practice for the industry.

IDIS Gold also sets a new target level for delivery excellence for the e-retail market as a whole.
